Walking beside you on your path to hope, healing, and health
Sacred Pathways is a concise descriptive of my approach to the therapeutic process. My approach is about holding respect and space for the many paths that you walk in life and supporting you on your journey. In our work together, we will address the many different pathways that affect your life including the pathways of your nervous system, which informs how you receive and process information from the world at large, the paths you travel in connecting with others, and the pathways in which you connect to yourself. In taking an integrative approach, we will explore the science, spirit, social and intrapersonal elements of your life experiences.
In my work, I utilize research and techniques that include polyvagal theory, Internal Family Systems, interpersonal-neurobiology, creative arts, solutions focused therapy, eco-psychology, archetypal psychology, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I take an integrative approach as life is generally an integrative process.
I will add that while I recognize that technique and modalities are important, it has been discovered through much research that the primary agent of change in counseling comes from the therapeutic relationship. Forming connections that facilitate a sense of safety, calm, trust, and a felt sense of being seen is what enables the healing process to occur and is what you will get from our experience together.
